APPLICATION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES IN EDUCATION AND SCIENCE

Red Hall of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics
Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University invites scientists, graduate students, IT-managing staff of the University, administration and specialists of IT companies to take part in International scientific and practical conference “Application of Information and Communication Technologies in Education and Science”, dedicated to 50th year anniversary of the Department, which will take place on 22nd of November, 2013.
All expenses related to the participation in the conference shall be paid by participants.
The conference will be conducted in three areas:
Section 1.Status and prospects of development of processes of informatization of education and science
Section 2.Technology and telecommunications infrastructure
Section 3.Information resources, Internet and multimedia technology in education
Moreover, in the framework of the conference there will be organized:
Round table “Automation of educational process in the context of the functioning of information system “United system of higher educational management”.
Practical platform Key achievements in the systems of university automation.
The working languages of the International Scientific Conference are Kazakh, Russian and English.
To participate in the conference one must provide the following documents to the Organizing Committee:
1. Application for participation in the conference.
2. Proceedings drawn up in accordance with the attached requirements.
Applications for participation in the conference must be completed in the above-given registration form and submitted along with the conference proceedings (in paper and electronic versions) to Organization Committee before 1 November, 2013.
Papers submitted to the Organizing Committee shall be published in the conference proceedings and will be given before the conference.

Requirements for papers: - The volume of the paper should not exceed 4 pages.
- Page format - A4 (21x29, 7cm), portrait orientation.
- The report is typed in Microsoft Word 2003-2010 on one of the following languages: Kazakh, Russian or English. The last page of the report must be completed in full.
- Page setup: top margin - 2 cm, bottom margin - 2 cm, left - 3 cm, right 1.5 cm
- Font Times New Roman, KZ Times New Roman; font size - 14pt.
- Line spacing - single; paragraph - 1 cm; without headers and setting pages; the text is aligned to the width; word wrap is prohibited.
- References to the literature are given in square brackets in the end of the paper.
- The list of references is provided at the end of the paper by the rules of the bibliographic record.
- Footnotes are omitted.
- Graphic materials, pictures, tables, etc. used in the paper should be numbered (if more than one) with the title and references in the text.
- Graphic materials, pictures, tables, etc. used in the paper must be additionally presented in JPG format.
- The paper is issued as follows:
The name of the paper is given in the beginning of the document and written in capital bold letters. The name and surname of the author, place of work and name of the city are given in the center, single-spaced. The text of the paper comes after double space. The bibliographic list must be specified as “The list of used literature” and placed in the center, single-spaced. The bibliographic list is given after single space and provided in accordance with the rules of bibliographic record.
Please, provide the electronic version of the paper (the file must be sent via email or provided on electronic device, the name of the file must mention the surname of the author).
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject the publication of paper in case it does not meet the above requirements or does not state the main activities of the conference. The Organizing Committee will not edit the texts of the papers. Copies of reports on paper will not be returned.
Each author may submit a maximum of three papers.
The registration fee for the conference is set at 4000 tenge.(students free for charge)
