We are glad to inform you about the XIth International Conference on Gravitation, Astrophysics and Cosmology of Asia - Pacific Countries (ICGAC-11), which will take place at the Al Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, October 1-5, 2013.
The program of conference includes original talks and poster communications, round tables and informal discussions on selected problems of gravitation, cosmology and relativistic astrophysics.
ICGAC-11 is a part of series of biennial conferences on Gravitation, Astrophysics and Cosmology which takes place in Asia-Pacific region with the goal to promote cooperation among the member countries and within an international context, to promote high level studies on hot topics and to encourage young physicists on these fields. The first meeting was initiated by Prof. Yong Min Cho, one of the founders of the APCTP, in 1993.
The previous meetings were held in :

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The conference will be held at Al Farabi Kazakh National University, Physical-Technical Faculty Address: 050040, Kazakhstan, Almaty, Al Farabi av. 71. (official address) (see the map).
To find our university on googlemaps please type one of the following searching words: “Al Farabi Kazakh National University” or “Students Palace, Almaty, Kazakhstan” or “46 Timiryazev St., KazGUgrad., Almaty, Kazakhstan”, the latter is the second address of our university which is more often used than the official one. The entrance of the University is situated along Timiryazev Street.
The registration will take place in front of the Malachite Hall which is in between Physical-Technical Faculty and Chemical Faculty (see the map)
All plenary sessions will be held in the Malachite Hall.
The parallel sessions will be held in the afternoon at the Malachite Hall and Physical-Technical Faculty on the 3d floor in 304 and 330 rooms.
The coffee breaks will be organized in front of the Malachite Hall.
There are nice restaurants near the University. There are also cheap university canteens in the Physical-Technical Faculty and at the Students’ Palace. It is recommended that all foreign participants have lunch at “Altyn Adam” restaurant, where will served business lunch specially for the participants on the 3rd floor (5 euro) (see the map).
On Thursday, October 3 during the conference excursion we will visit Medeu speed skating and bandy rink http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medeo , a Kaskelen gorge http://www.track.kz/e_kaskelen.html, a trout farm, then there will be the conference banquet.
The conference banquet will take place at restaurant “Tilek Tas”. Information in russian is available at http://www.tilek-tas.kz/ .
The conference proceedings will be published in Journal “Gravitation and Cosmology”.
Registration and Deadlines
To take part in the conference, it is necessary to fill in the registration form (http://conference.kaznu.kz/en/registration/15/ICGAC11) and send an abstract of report to both e-mails beissennur@gmail.com and ICGAC11@gmail.com
Deadline for registration: 20 August, 2013.
Registration fee: 300 Euro (in case of early registration 250 Euro, for participants from the former Soviet Union countries 100 Euro). The registration fee could be paid on arrival at the conference.
Abstracts for publication
Abstracts (within one page) should be prepared in LaTeX2e, \documentclass{article};
The page setup:
- А4;
- left margin 3 cm;
- right margin 1.5 cm;
- 2 cm at the top and at the bottom
- font 12pt;
Figures should be in the .eps (postscript) format.
The Book of Abstracts will be published to the beginning of the conference.
Deadline for sending the abstracts: 31 August, 2013.
